The main objectives of Center for Global Business (CGB) is to promote international business opportunities for start-ups and SMEs, especially from Korea, by providing them with latest news about the investment activities as well as to find high-potential projects in which Korean business can participate. CGB supports Korean culture and connect Korea to the world culturally and economically. CGB will accomplish its objectives by executing the following programs and activities:
1 | Market Research on the Korean Waves (Hallyu): Korean pop culture has become popular worldwide and has touches many lives while creating jobs and business opportunities in various industries. CGB will conduct interviews and surveys with Korean companies to gather expert opinions on different factors influencing popularity of Korean pop culture internationally. The research outcomes will be beneficial to companies/businesses in trying to identify next-generation products and creation of future markets in the United States and globally. |
2 | Scholastically Review of the Korean Waves: CGB will conduct in-depth research on the development and spread of the Hallyu, such as Korean dramas, music, cosmetics, fashion and etc., and how such development has changed perception of the Korea in foreign business markets. These findings and information can be shared among similar research organizations and academic institutions in the United States and Korea to foster partnership and develop collaborative research and business opportunities. |
3 | Training Global Talents: To be successful in today’s challenging world, it is essential that those in international business world need to be equipped with the right kind of knowledge and skills. CGB offers short-term educational program for the next generation business leaders in entrepreneurial leadership skills and enhance their understanding of the dynamic global marketplace.
