Since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) in December 2019 and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it as a pandemic in March 2020, it has triggered shock waves across the world locking down more than 190 countries and affecting everyday life. Millions of people have lost their jobs, millions more have seen their salary cut, and many more people fear they could lose their incomes any day. Small businesses are closing permanently and large retails, hospitality and travel industries are filing for bankruptcies. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the world economy would suffer the loss of around $9 trillion in 2020-2021. The world is experiencing the biggest global crisis in generations.
